You may have received notification on Sunday that your student has been assigned a new later bus pick up time. These new times are temporary and were assigned to prevent long delays at bus stops as the Transportation Department refines bus rosters and routes. Students won’t be marked late if the bus is arriving past the school’s start time. Our school is making arrangements to assist students who may arrive via bus past the first “bell” “course” or period to ensure they haven’t missed information/course content.
To assist our transportation team with finalizing bus routes and rosters, if you have signed up for bus ridership this year please encourage your student(s) ride the bus to school on the first day. It is critical that the final routes reflect the actual number of student riders. Bus capacity and routes need to be set based on accurate data to best establish pick up and drop off times. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through transportation challenges the first weeks of school. Our drivers look forward to greeting their new bus riders tomorrow for our first day of school.
